Forever Now lyrics by Green Day

Forever Now lyrics by Green Day

Forever Now is from Green Day's Revolution Radio album.

Lyrics

My name is Billie and I'm freaking out
I thought before I was now I can't really figure it out
I sit alone with my thoughts and prayers
Screaming my memories as if I was never there

Standing at the edge of the world
It's giving me the chills
Looking down the edge of the world
Lost in a tangle, it's freaking me out
Burning lights and blackouts.

From the edge of the world
From the edge of the world

I'm like a punk rocker on labor day
How the hell did I work so hard to perform this way
I've never learned to read or write so well
But I can play the guitar until it hurts like hell

Standing at the edge of the world
It's giving me the chills
Looking down the edge of the world
Lost in a tangle, it's freaking me out
Burning lights and blackouts

From the edge of the world
From the edge of the world

If this is what you call the good life
I want a better way to die
If this is what you call the good life
I want a better way to die

Oh I
Don't want to think about tomorrow
Don't want to think about the road
It doesn't matter anyway

Oh I
I want to start a revolution
I want to hear it on my radio
And put it off another day

I want a new conspiracy
And the silence of a thousand cries
So hurry up
I want a better way to die

I'm running late to somewhere now where I don't want to be
Where the future and promises ain't what it used to be
I never wanted to compromise or bargain with my soul
How did a life on the wild side ever get so full

Somewhere now
Somewhere now
Somewhere now
Somewhere now

Oh I
Don't want to think about tomorrow
Don't want to think about the road
It doesn't matter anyway

Oh I
I want to start a revolution
I want to hear it on my radio
And put it off another day

(I ain't gonna stand in line no more!)
Oh I
Don't want to think about tomorrow
Don't want to think about the road
It doesn't matter anyway

(I ain't gonna stand in line no more!)
Oh I
I want to start a revolution
I want to hear it on my radio
And put it off another day

Green Day's Troubled Times lyrics

A song from the Rev Rad / Revolution Radio album by Green Day.

Troubled Times was inspired by the Paris terrorist attach on the concert goers at the Eagles of Death Metal show.

Trouble Times is exactly about what it seems to be. Billie-Joe is making a commentary on the current state of America and the world at large  - it's politics, religions and it's powers and how they are appear to be falling so many people.

This is actually part of the theme of the album from which the song comes - Bang Bang in particular serves notices that Green Day is sick of the media endowed celebrity status given to those who commit mass murder using guns.

This should be no surprised to anyone as Green Day's American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown albums have covered these concepts a fair but - 21 Guns being an obvious consideration of the use of guns and war.

Troubled Times lyrics

What good is love and peace on earth?
When it's exclusive?
Where's the truth in the written word?
If no one reads it
A new day dawning
Comes without warning
So don't blink twice

We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times

What part of history we learned
When it's repeated
Some things will never overcome
If we don't seek it
The world stops turning
Paradise burning
So don't think twice

We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times

We run for cover
Like a skyscraper's falling down
Then I wander like a troubled mind

What good is love and peace on earth?
When it's exclusive
Where's the truth in the written word?
If no one reads it
A new day dawning
Comes without warning
So don't look twice

We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times
We live in troubled times

Green Day 'Too Dumb to die' lyrics

Green Day 'Too dumb to die' lyrics

'Too dumb to die' is a song from Green Day's Revolution Radio album. The song's lyrics are demonstrative of the kind of ethic, that if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough.

But it's more than that.

You could argue that it's a 'masses against the classes' type mentality but what really songwriter Billie-Joe is saying is that while there's a lot of shit going on in this world (see the lyrics of Bang Bang for his current views), there's a certain kind of population that just won't quit, even though they possibly should.

The song's title, of course, a play on the expression, too young too die. In the sense of Tre was a good bastard, he was too young to die.

Maybe.

'Too dumb to die' Lyrics

Oh, oh I love you
Oh, oh I do
I got a sentimental illness for you
Please don't go away, oh yeah

I was a high school atom bomb
Going off on the weekends
Smoking dope and mowing lawns
And I hated all the new trends

Me and my friends sang
Woh-uh-oh-oh-oh
It's true, the middle of the road
At least it's better than here

Looking for a cause
Well all I got was Santa Claus
I'm hanging on a dream that's too dumb to die
I feel like a cello
Lost somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high, too scared to dream
But too dumb to die

My daddy always was on strike
Going off with the teamsters
He said that everything will be alright
Not every Sunday can be Easter

The picket line screamed woh-uh-oh-oh-oh
Don't cross, don't cross the line
Because you'll be a scab, not a martyr

Looking for a cause
Well all I got was camouflage
I'm hanging on a dream that's too dumb to die
I feel like a cello
Lost somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high, too scared to dream
But too dumb to

Looking for a cause
Well all I got was camouflage
I'm hanging on a dream that's too dumb to die
I feel like a cello
Lost somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high, too scared to dream

But too dumb to die

Youngblood lyrics by Green Day

Green Day's Youngblood lyrics.

Youngblood lyrics by Green Day from Radio Revolution

Not to be confused with the John Rambo film, First Blood! Young Blood is a song from Green Day's 12th studio album, Radio Revolution.

Young Blood was self produced by Green Day after they decided to take a break from their long time producer and friend, Rob Cavallo.

Youngbloods are usually referred to as up and comers with drive and determination, a trait often found in young people. If you want to get cryptic, this song called perhaps be a reference to Fall Out Boy as their fans have been known to be referred to as youngbloods.

Billie Joe has spoken of wanting to claim back what pop punks means from bands such as Fall Out Boy. We could of course be reading way too much into the song's meaning!

Youngblood lyrics:

Getting drunk, and fallen in the hedges
She's my weakness, fucking genius
Swear to god and I'm not even superstitious

Youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
She's my little youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
Punch-drunken youngblood

I want to hold you like a gun
We'll shoot the moon into the sun
Alright, alright

Are you stranded, like I'm stranded?
Do you want to watch the world fall to pieces?
Are you broken, like I'm broken?
Are you restless? She said: "Fuck you, I'm from Oakland!"

Youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
She's my little youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
Youngblood
Punch-drunken youngblood

Green Day's Still Breathing lyrics from Radio Revoltion
Still Breathing suggests a sense of survival - the character has been through it all, they've survived the challlenges life has thrown their way, and here they are, still breathing.

Still Breathing lyrics

I'm like a child looking off in the horizon
I'm like an ambulance turning on the sirens
Oh, I'm still alive
I'm like a soldier coming home for the first time
I dodge a bullet, I walk across a landmine
Oh, I'm still alive
Am I bleeding
Am I bleeding from the storm?
Just shine a light into the wreckage
So far away away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
My way to you
I'm like a junkie tying off for the last time
I'm like a loser that's betting on his last dime
Oh, I'm still alive
I'm like a son that was raised without a father
I'm like a mother barely keeping it together
Oh, I'm still alive
Am I bleeding
Am I bleeding from the storm?
Just shine a light into the wreckage
So far away away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away away
As I walk down ledge
Are you scared to death to live
I've been running all my life
Just to find a home that's for the restless
The truth that's in the message
Making my way away away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
Cause I'm still breathing
Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
My way to you
